Your First Trade
Swap tokens on Bond in a few simple steps.
The fastest way to get started with Bond is to perform a simple token swap. This guide walks you through exchanging one asset for another using the Swap interface.
01
Navigate to Swap
Click Trade in the main navigation bar, or go directly to the Swap page. You will see the swap card with two token fields — one for the asset you want to sell and one for the asset you want to receive.
02
Select Your Tokens
Click the token selector to choose which asset you want to swap from and which you want to receive. The default pair is W0G to USDC.e. You can search by name or symbol.
03
Enter an Amount
Type the amount you want to swap. Bond will automatically fetch a real-time quote showing the amount you will receive, the exchange rate, price impact, and estimated network fee.
04
Review the Details
Check the exchange rate, minimum received (accounting for slippage), and route. The default slippage tolerance is 0.5%, which you can adjust in the settings.
05
Confirm the Swap
Click Swap and approve the transaction in your wallet. If this is your first time swapping a particular token, you will first need to approve the token for trading — this is a one-time step per token.
What is Slippage?
Slippage is the difference between the expected price and the actual execution price. Market conditions can change between when you request a quote and when your transaction is confirmed on-chain. The slippage tolerance sets the maximum acceptable difference — if the price moves beyond this threshold, your transaction will revert and no funds will be lost.
